White stuff!

I don’t know what this white stuff is when I go outside but I don’t like it one bit.  My mom made me go out in it and I tried to get in the blue box to get away from this stuff.  She said that later there’s going to be even more of it.

 

OK so Mom Got a New Camera

She tested the new camera today at my farm

This one is mostly some big guy eating round things Mom says are punkins.  I think this should have been more about me but there’s a little of me and Daddy.

Next, on to the punkin zipline. I had to stand way back.  I thought they looked good to eat, though.

And last, dropping punkins off a silo.   I was getting pretty bored and just sat and met another dog. There’s only so much fun in these punkin things.

Finally, Mom took pictures of ME.  Isn’t that what cameras are for?




Off to my sister’s soon.  Yea!  I hope she doesn’t have any punkins!

New Stuff

I was talking to that guy who comes here every once in a while, the one they call mike-l, and he said that I hadn't updated this for a long time.  He hasn't updated his either so I don't know what he's talking about.

Anyway, I've been too busy to write here.  I have to take care of everything outside and all the people and noises and now people are putting up funny stuff outside.  My human mom says that those are for something called halo ween.  She said that they did this before but I don't remember.

Since I wrote last, I went for vacation at my sister's place and we had such a good time.

I've had my people take me in that blue box out to what they call the farm.

I have lots more stuff to do today so I'm stopping this for now.

 

Today's My Birfday!

Last day my human mom told me that this day was my birfday and I would be one and there would be a party.  I didn't know what any of that meant except that I'm one.  I know I''m the one and only Mimi so that wasn't news.

We went in the big blue box and I saw that we were going to end up at my sister Penny's place.  When we got there, daddy got out of his silver box then some other people got out of their boxes. 

We went into Penny's yard, then my brother Thunder came, then our Mommy (they called her Suki but she'll always be Mommy to me!) and my sister Emily came.

We all ran around and played and played.  One of the other dogs in Penny's family was there and he played with us, too.  The other one hid out in the shade.

Then people said again that it was our birfday and we were ALL one, except for Mommy.  I don't see how that can be but I guess our Mommy became our Mommy one year ago today.

There are lots of pictures as usual but it was hard to get us all in the same place and not moving too much.

I came home and got some more presents, then daddy gave me a bath - yuck - then a little naptime before I started putting all those pictures together.

We Went to the Farm Again

It seems like a long time in that blue box but it was fun when we got there!

Here are some pictures Mom took of me and some of the animals.  Usually, I was moving too fast for her to get a good picture but I was having so much fun I didn't care!

I wonder why she didn't let me take any pictures of her.

Saturday was a beautiful day so we all went out to "our" farm ( http://www.GreatCountryFarms.com )

Mimi checked out a goat, chased a chicken - too fast for a picture!, stalked a rabbit, sniffed a couple donkeys, and got a close-up of 2 ponies.  She especially liked the turkey because it made so much noise and she and an emu had a staring contest.

At the end of the day we just sat quietly by the lake before we headed home.

My sister is here for a visit!

My Mom said she'll be here for several days.  We're already having a great time and Mom posted some pictures!

After an initial getting to know you again, we settled in to naptime!

I'm back from my sister's!

A few days ago Mom and Daddy were going somewhere where they couldn't be home at night so I went to my sister's place again.  We had such a good time.  I like being with her and playing and stuff. 

Next day I had to go back home.  I was so tired.  I guess I'm not used to playing that much!

Mom said that my sister is going to come here and stay and play in a little while.  How neat!

I napped even more than usual but I'm all energetic again.  Mom took me out in the snow.  There's so much of this stuff that Daddy is home today!

This isn't Mimi's first snow, but it's the most we've had on any one day.  She had fun playing around and getting snow on her nose but Mom got cold and wanted to come in...after she got some pictures, of course!

She wrote this and forgot to tell people that the funny thing in the corner of the video was her finger in the way.

I've been thinking of getting a new camera for a while.  My other digital is several years old and kind of clunky now.  This new one - a Fuji FinePix is nice and small so I can always have it with me if I want.  I'm just playing with the settings and taking little movies and stuff.

Here's Mimi in both a picture and a little test movie.

Now to read the manual and see what I should be doing!  LOL

Last Day

My Mom said I should write first about chrismus but that was a long time ago and I remember this better.  I'll write about chrismus later.  Maybe Mom can change the date of that so it looks right here.

We were watching my favorite show about humming birds on the black thing on the wall.  I don't know why they say they're humming birds because they don't hum like mom does but it's a good show.

All of a sudden they went away and it got darker.  Mom said the power went off and she called someone who said that there was a fire somewhere and the power would be off for a while.

She went wherever she goes at that time on this day of the week.  It kept getting darker and colder.

When mom came back it was very dark so we got some of my toys and my water dish and went to her church.

It was light there and warm but no humming birds.

Lots of other people came there and all of them pet me and said I was pretty.  I liked that!

They were going to do something called kwire.  Someone there had lots of other toys and I got to play with those, too, and I got a treat, too! I mostly played with all the people who came in.  Then they went in to sing - but not hum - and I played with a girl who was trying to read.  She has school just like I did.  I didn't want to brag and let her know I'd already graduated.

Then some of them came back in and sing while Mom played a piano for them.  Some of them were petting me while they were supposed to be looking at the person waving her arms around.  I didn't tell!

They went back to sing with the rest of the people and Mom tried to see if she could get through to that talking box at home.  She got a message that that box didn't work and there was still no power.  Oh No!

Daddy came to church and we all left.  We couldn't go right up our street like where I walk because there were lots of flashy lights and stuff going on.

Mom found some things to light a little and Daddy brought stuff from the store to eat.  I had my regular swill and some new better stuff I'm trying out.

After a while, I helped mom put lots more blankets on their bed.  I didn't get any!  They left a light-thing on for me so it wouldn't be too dark and we all went to sleep.

This morning the lights came back on and we got warmer.

I can watch my humming birds again.  I wonder if I can always go for kwire. I liked that a lot.

Busy, Busy!

I know I haven't been good keeping this up but I'm so busy all the time.

I just thought I'd do a little update today and maybe finish the rest later but I wanted to let everyone know that my Mom got me a place on a thing called Dogbook.  About time, I might say but she's always busy, too, so I guess it's ok.
